The short-story describes the religion Islam. This story teaches a lesson of how to show other people you true faith in God. Since the guy was so religious he got angry and wanted to cut down the tree ,because he heard that people are worshipping the tree instead of God. While he was going he met a person who told him no to cut the tree. The symbolic of this story was the tree and the Satan. Satan is like a devil person. Satan turned into a human and prevented the guy to cut the tree with the idea of giving him money. At first the guy was angry and fought the Satan and he won. But then the Satan convinced him more and he agreed. After agreeing with Satan of his deal he went back home. He got what was promised until one day it stopped. He went back to cut the tree and saw the same person who was the Satan. The guy refused him this time and fought the Satan again but this time he lost. The guy lost because he just wanted to cut the tree because his promise was not there. If he went with the same intention from the first time he would have won but he didn’t because of the wrong intention.
