Blog 3.2--In Chapter 4 of Literary Theory

The book is referring that poetry is a language that uses speeches to be more powerful. In poetry there are genres which clssifies the works.The genre came from the Greeks. The Epic and tragic drama were in the anciant times. Genres are known as "sets of conventions and expectations". When we read the title or the text we will know the genre if its a romance or historical text. The genre in poetry plays an important role, because it tells us and help us define what kind of genre it is.
