Meeting Half Way
A short story that is still incomplete Someone once told me this story that is still happening in 20th Century. There was a girl name Kate and a boy name Shawn. One day Kate was walking to college and realized someone is following her. Three weeks had passed and the same guy keeps following her everywhere and everyday. Kate saw his face and there was this feeling inside of her which she still doesn’t know what it was every time his there. Finally one day he came up to Kate and said to her “ I Love You“. She was shocked to know that someone actually thinks she’s beautiful and loves her. Kate had ignored him but still he keeps on talking to her. He introduced himself and he said his name was Shawn. He had actually seen her the first time at a birthday party and they both know one person who is there friend. Since that day he keeps following and knowing more information about her. He describes his feelings for her and she still ignored him. Kate ignored him because she use to like this guy for like 6 years but he never liked her back but she’s still waiting for him. With the faith and thought that he will come one day. After four weeks passed Shawn never gave up and she finally gave her email to him. She told him before we start a relationship I want you to know more about her life. Kate’s family is very rich and her family is known as the good family. In other words with good family background with high reputations. She never had a boyfriend nor did anyone else in her family. They all had arrange marriages and still happy so with that thought she believes in it to. But it was her feelings that held her back and she started talking to him. They both emailed each other and started to talk on phone everyday. If one of them doesn’t talk they both think something is wrong. When it came to Shawn’s family’s background she was scared. She was scared because he was not from the same city as her family is. Kate’s family is very strict with family background. But yet she didn’t think about it that much because she loved Shawn a lot. They would meet every time she would finish college early and spend time together in his car. She loved it whenever she was in his beautiful arms. She felt so peaceful and forgets all her worries. Whenever she was with him she forget the people and things around them. She loved it every time he would stare at her and then kiss her on her lips. Kate thinks this relationship is very innocent and romantic at the same time. Its been almost four weeks since there together. But one day she remembers that she was still waiting for that guy who she liked before. Still hoping he would come but yet he never did. She forgot him and thought about Shawn. She is thinking she should be with the person who likes her not with the one who doesn’t like her. Kate thinks Shawn and her would make a good family and a perfect couple. The next following week Kate hears her parents saying that they had made an arrange marriage for her. She was scared to face her parents to tell them the truth about her boyfriend. So what she did was she emailed Shawn and told him that she will brake up with him. Shawn was hurt and wondering why she would do that all of a sudden. He kept emailing her and calling her but yet she didn’t reply. Its been 3 three days already and they haven’t spoken yet.
